"Kaka Beak Cluster“ is an Original Acrylic Painting by Jo Gallagher and part of her collection "The Naturalist"
About the Collection
"This small show has its roots firmly planted in Mother Earth, with flowers used to showcase our native birds inspired from my rambling garden and walks through life.
Aptly named after our native parrot the Kaka, close up shots of the exquisitely formed Kakabeak flower, have been transformed into a ‘hide and seek’ painting with two of our smaller birds, the fantail and wax eye.
Tondo Size: (h) 500mm diameter
Medium: Acrylic on board
Jo Gallagher lives in the small King Country settlement of Piopio, New Zealand. Although working primarily as a contemporary realist Jo recently begun to add another layer of interest into her compositions, incorporaring native birds and animals as both object and subject enables her to voice her interest in the idiosyncratic and distinctive world we live in.
Jo is represented by a few selected galleries throughout New Zealand.
