Artist Bio
Jody Hope Gibbons is an established contemporary painter from Matakana and a born and bred Northlander.
Her current body of work explores the material qualities of paint. Pushing the boundaries of traditional painting Jody combines inks, silver and gold leaf. The works are ever-changing and currently becoming bolder and more gestural, however the recurring reference is back to the land she calls home.
