Bryce Brown lives and works from his studio set on an avocado orchard in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. He is an established artist with an extensive exhibiting history, including ten solo exhibitions and numerous joint shows in New Zealand, Europe and the USA. His works are held in private and public collections in New Zealand, Italy and the USA including the John Deere Art collection in Moline, Illinois.
A modernist influence mixed with New Zealand culture is evident in his paintings and gives them a truly unique flavour.
Aesthetics are important to Bryce and he paints to please the eye and draw the viewer in. His work speaks of a bygone era, yet is very contemporary. His use of colour strengthening the overall feel of stillness and rest. As well as considering symbolism, meaning and making statements, Bryce makes art that is about beauty.
