Monstera adansonii / Foliage
Indoor Plant: Native to Central and South America, Mexico, and West Indies, Monstera adansonii is the smaller cousin of Monstera deliciosa — they have smaller leaves that develop large oval holes as they mature, giving them the appearance of swiss cheese. Please note the young / first leaves of Monstera adansonii, like the deliciosa has no holes, but they start appearing in the more mature leaves. Our plant stock are lush with a thick base of young leaves and holes just starting to appear on leaves.
A climber, it produces aerial roots from the stem which can grasp onto the bark of trees or other foliage. However, it also makes a beautiful cascading plant in a hanging basket. Swiss cheese vine is quick and easy to grow either climbing or cascading.
Indoors
Light: Bright indirect light or partial sun is optimal, but it can grow in partial shade and lower light, although the growth will slow down.
Water: Water thoroughly when topsoil is dry. Avoid overwatering.
Nursery Pot Size: 17cm basket
