'The long way home' by Santie Cronje is an original acrylic painted directly on the inside of the glass that frames the work. The antique oak frame was gifted to Santie and she wanted the piece to be as much about the beautiful frame as it is about the painting. Inspired by a beautiful drive from Taupo via Kaahu Road.

Artist Bio
Santie Cronje is a multi disciplinary Artist and Gallery owner of Deciduus & Santie, with her horticulture partner Shane Berger. As a visual storyteller her paintings are closely connected to her life experiences, travels, thoughts and surroundings. Originally from South Africa, New Zealand has been home since 1999.
Santie studied Art at school from age sixteen and completed a Bachelors of Arts at the University of Pretoria (South Africa) in 1994. Her work is held in private collections in New Zealand and abroad.
